Did the plus have the snip the resistor? I remember doing it on an SE but I can't recall doing it on any Pluses. In any event it didn't worry me, I just cut the resistor in the middle of the lead and made a bit of a gap. If I needed to undo it I would just dab a bit of solder on it. I remember doing the upgrade on some friends SEs. I also remember busting off the snap that held one of the SIMMs in place.
