No. All they said was to refer to a couple of the other articles they'd previously run on Terminal usage. I'm sure the warnings can be found there, but that's a pretty mild note of caution in my book.
As for the erasure of the temp file, I think it was interrupted by Energy Saver. The log I saw in Terminal upon returning to the machine suggested it had written over the data 30 times first, which obviously is plenty. > > While I love Terminal - use it all the time...
