I'm running Leopard 10.5.6 with Safari 3.2.1 On all the webpages I visit, there are ads flashing and twinkling and jiggling all over the place, and I can't stop them anymore. SafariBlock worked in Tiger, but it doesn't work in Leopard, at least it never shows up in Safari's Prefs after download and install.
Likewise Safari AdBlock 1.4 doesn't install in this version of Safari after being downloaded. It just vanishes somewhere and can't be found, and there is no sign of it doing anything. I don't want to go back to FireFox. It has some kind of problem that causes it to become progressively slower as the hours pass, until finally it locks up and has to be force- quit. And some webpages are garbled. After a couple of years of using and being unhappy with FireFox, except for AdBlock which worked well, I want to go back to Safari, but I want to be able to block ads. Can it be done?
