Thanks, Fabian, what a nifty utility! As I recall, a year or so ago you sent me the OS 10.2.8 combo on a disk, I haven't forgotten that kind deed. You are a bit of a guardian angel in my life, apparently. It sez my drive is OK, I do backups every day or so onto an external HD, so if it is going to do a swan dive my files should be all right. I thought I might have heard some clicks but haven't heard a thing the last few days. Hmmm.
