I think its pretty common that USB cards & devices, and other PCI
cards, should be suspects when Sleep doesn't work. My Sonnet Tango
USB 1.1/FW400 PCI card allows Sleep, but the M-Audio 2496 Audio PCI
card does not. So my system as a whole cannot be set to Sleep.
Without the M-Audio, I believe I have to wake the system with a KB
attached to the tower.

Do the 2 ports on the back of the Tower work? You might just plug the
KB and Mouse into the Mac (not the hub) and use the hub plugged into
the other Tower port for other things. Helps to have the KB connected
via onboard USB when waking from Sleep ... may be a necessity.

You could also not use Sleep.
