My drift was nearly a full minute, and seemed to be as much often. When using an eBay snipe program such as JBidwatcher that is synchronized to eBay, it's disconcerting seeing two clocks running nearly a minute apart. This clock drift seems too great, and the problem seems bad since my iBook is never turned off and never sleeps. Prior to using the Terminal commands to correct this, I manually unchecked the system preference "Set date & time automatically" and then rechecked it in an attempt to force a time resynchronization, and it failed. If I didn't have an alternative way to check the synchronization I'd never have known it failed since there is no "Sync Time now" button or message of success when it succeeds. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
