I have a 1.42 ghz PowerMac G4 that's giving me problems. When I start it up, it begins to boot OS X, but about 30 seconds in I can hear the hard drive shut off. The wheel under the Apple logo continues to spin though, sometimes for a long time, other times the computer shuts itself off after a short time. I've reset my PMU and PRAM, and I know the hard drive is good. Any idea what's happening here? Chance Reecher
