I have a known good HD that has a good Tiger install on it that I
culled from my Gigabit Ethernet when its logic board went south, so if
push came to shove I could get somebody to swap drives out. Plus I
have a Leopard install disk. I am physically handicapped, so doing
things such as disconnecting or swapping hard drives is beyond my
purview unless a computer is already known to be toast. =)

Thank you Jonas and Dan for your replies.
