Not likely. But the easiest way to find out is call up. I think because these problems are if not common, at least regular that they don't argue the point as long as the power problem is well established (it is in this case) and the damage is well documented. The latter is why you would want to go to a certified Apple Repair place to have the work done as opposed to doing it yourself.
