If you are talking about a username and password then boot from an OS CD 
and look for the Reset Password option.


If it's a firmware password then change the memory around, take a DIMM 
out, put one in or change a slot.  Then do a PRAM reset on startup. 
This will clear the firmware password.  Changing the memory lets the 
system know you have physical access  to the inside of the computer and 
therefore you must be okay, so to speak.
