I just purchased a used G4 iBook running Tiger 10.4.11 and many of the folders do not give me permission to open them. Folders like System Preferences that has things I need to reset.
There is a procedure for blowing away the old password but I'm not sure what it is and I think it required the startup disks, which did not come with the computer. Suggestions?
