Thanks, I will definitely make the upgrade then. Just wanted to check because I'll have more $$$ put into memory than did the entire setup.

I just restarted my Dual 533 Digital Audio under Tiger 10.4.11, and while running Spotlight (indexing) it was maintaining memory usage of about:

100 Wired 80 Active 160 Inactive (very rough figures, they kept changing)
340 Used of my 1.5GB

I would say upgrade the memory if it was using 1/3.

Also depends on what you would be running app-wise down the road ... but, more memory is better all around.

I've also put more money into this Digital Audio, and another Quicksilver 2002 Dual 1GHz, than I care to admit. Just seems to be the way things go. I enjoy improving performance ... but at some point, it makes $$$-sense to buy another machine ... I'm at that point with mine as well ... almost buying another Firmtek Seritek 1S2 to change over my QS to SATA ... wondering if its worth it ...

Good luck with the memory upgrade ... OWCs a good place to buy as well as DMS (I think that's their initial).
