Any Final Cut Express 4 users on the list? Most people on the Apple
Support Forum are requiring 1.25GHz Macs or better for a discussion ...
Two Macs here: Quicksilver 2002 Dual 1GHz and Digital Audio Dual 533 G4s
I'm trying to use FCE 4 for the first time, and have mild concerns
about the "error" message about my video card doesn't support OpenGL
under Leopard 10.5.8.
I believe it does ... is the error message in error? Perhaps not the
right version of OpenGL is supported by the older GeForce4 MX video
card?
My Apple System Profiler says I have Quart Extreme, but only
"Software" supported Core Image on my Quicksilver (GeForce4 MX
installed)
I have an ATI Radeon 9800Pro that I could switch out (from my DA Dual
533 to my QS Dual 1GHz). I will be using the QS mostly for converting
VHS to DVD for now ... not really exciting graphics ... some
Chaptering and neatening up Menues ... mostly Capturing VHS to DV.
Will the GeForce 4MX be sufficient for FCE 4 and this task? just
ignore the error message?
Other threads here don't seem to answer the question.
Oh I am authoring with iDVD 7 from my iLife 9 package.
Thanks.
