Thanks for the info!

The friend I was referring to used to rebuild broken ATX power supplies, so I 
am certain he knows a lot about all different kinds of capacitors.
My guess is that he removes the old one and checks the writings/codes on it to 
see which type it is and then either has a replacement at hands or is ordering 
one the next day.

Anyway, this information will be useful, I will tell this to him when I ask 
him for help.
(If the apple certified repair company doesn't want to help me, that is…)
