Leopard will add an extra 5 minutes to boot if you use an AGP PNY/Nvidia GeForce 6200 with 256MB of RAM. The graphics will be very fast if you use this card, but it seems to me that there is a Kext file in the system that is making your system boot for such a long time.
My Power Mac G4 Sawtooth has a 400Mhz powerPC G4 processor, Nvidia GeForce 4 MX/MX440 (video card is from quicksilver) and 2GB of RAM and it only takes 0:25 to start up and go to the login screen. From there to the desktop, only 5 seconds. -- Sent from my Power mac G4 Sawtooth. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
