Yes. TRASH ALL YOUR COPIES OF SAFARI, then download the CURRENT version Version 5.0.3 (5533.19.4) and install it. If it stalls again, then REINSTALL the 10.5.8 Combo Update.

Hi Tom,

Safari 4 still has updates but you need to really search for them. I still use OS X Tiger which cannot run version 5. Then I would have to move to OS X Leopard (next predator :-))). I still have a seal wrapped box with a Leopard-DVD I bought on eBay. I'm still looking for a bargain G5 iMac, the sleek "pedestal" version with the extra small keyboard.
