On a 100 MHz bus machine, you may mix PC100 and PC133 RAM in any order. On a 133MHz bus machine, only PC133 RAM is permitted. Most models do not support parity, in which case the 9th chip will be ignored. 9/18 chip SDRAM is more for PCs than for Macs.
