Hey all. Getting my g5 slowly up and running in my spare time. I have about 3K (@4.5 gb of data) pictures on my pismo that I want to get moved over to the g5 so as to be able to work with them easier(quicker). The pismo has iphoto 3(using 10.4.11), and the g5 has the same operating system, but has ilife 6 installed.
What is the least painless way of transferring these pictures across to the g5? I tried using an empty2 gb flash drive and export the pictures in 1 gb increments, but the popup box said there wasn't enough room in the disk. Connected the pismo to the g5 via target disk mode, I was scolded and told that the iphoto 3 version was too old for iphoto 6 to import the pictures. Finally burned the photos to cds and import them that way. Inserted a cd, opened iphoto 6, I used File>Import to Library and it then proceeded to duplicate the same pictures that were already on the g5. The pictures that were on the cd aren't imported at all. I'm assuming I'm going about this all wrong. Appreciate any help I can get.
