Hi,

I would like to buy a generic PCI-SATA (with a PATA connector too, as I saw
in many cards recently) card for my Beige G3 to handle (and to boot from)
large partitions without the data and bus restrictions of the onboard PATA
and eventually support new SATA devices I would eventually buy.

But the problem is: how can I know if the SATA/PATA card is bootable on my
Macintosh? I *almost* bought a very cheap -- around US$18 here in Brazil --
PCI-SATA/PATA card, but when I thought about the VIA chipset it has, I
decided to wait until I can find more info about my doubt.
