Dear All, Who needs LEM rules? I think everyone on this list has enough common sense to know this is a list concerned with computers, not human feelings. If anyone feels insulted, he/she should first think if it was really intentional at all, and if he/she thinks it was, respond to the poster, not the list, and explain his/her feelings. Undoubtedly, the OP will apologize, or at least explain what was really meant, and all is well again.
Both senders and recipients should realize that in this internet age, it's much easier to say something one doesn't really mean. If we had to write it on paper and mail it, there would be a longer cooling-down and thinking-over time built in, and many rash hard words would simply not get sent at all. Also, because we often hardly know eachother, misunderstandings are very likely. In fact, it's a miracle that we usually get along so well.
