Yes, because the Radioshark is transmitting it'a data through that USB port. In my case drives were just randomly dropping off, or I'd plug something in and everything on the hub would just fall off giving me lots of 'The disk was not ejected properly' errors. Not a good thing when I'm using it to pull data from a possibly failing drive...
