FTP is not file sharing. When you log into an FTP server, you are placed at the root of whatever the server thinks the filesystem is, and for OS X that's /. If you don't mind just cd'ing to your array from there, then just do that. If you want to make FTP see only a part of the filesystem, you need to change what it thinks / is. The simplest and most secure way is to chroot() it. That is a Unix question, not specifically a Mac question, but something like http://www.itworld.com/nlsunix071108 should get you started. If this is too much work, just use regular AppleTalk file sharing rather than FTP. -- ------------------------------------ personal: http://www.cameronkaiser.com/ -- Cameron Kaiser * Floodgap Systems * www.floodgap.com * ckai...@floodgap.com -- If I wanted your opinion, I'd have beaten it out of you. ------------------- -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
