Hi

I am trying to boot a machine with two network cards using g4u 2.4 (downloaded yesterday, burnt to CD). By the way the "g4u screen" after booting shows g4u version 2.5.

One of the network cards is a VIA VT6107 (http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/networking/rhine/vt6107/) and the other a D-Link DFE-530TX (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=122; mine looks a bit different than the one on the picture).

Both of these cards (should) work with Via Rhine drivers (they do under Linux and FreeBSD anyway).

When booting with g4u I get a lot of "vr0: device timeout" (that is the VIA VT6107) and no network connection. vr1 behaves similar.

Just for the sake of it I tried an older g4u version I had lying around (g4u 2.3). And to my great surprise everything works with that release!

Is this expected behaviour? I am a little concerned, especially because g4u 2.3 does not seem to exist for downloading anymore (so if my CD gets corrupted (I had already thrown it in the bin after burning g4u 2.4 yesterday :)) I am out of luck?).

Kind regards
andreas
