Category: win32 Group: 2.0.0 beta 6 >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: John Dimond (jimmyjazz23) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: Crashes when using jabber Initial Comment: When using gaim 2.0.0 betas 4, 5, and 6, on Windows XP, I have experienced random crashes when using GTalk (Jabber). The happen regardless of what I am doing. I can just turn on gaim and leave, and it will still crash. Once I turned off the jabber account, it seemed fine again. It has been on for a few days now with no problems. When it crashes, the graphics get all messed up. When I mouse over names in the buddy list, they are replaced with black boxes, and the menus don't show text, and I have to close the program using the task manager. I have not had any of these problems with the linux version using the same accounts. I think what you're seeing is a GTK+ bug related to using the GTK-WIMP GTK+ theme with the Windows "classic" (Windows 2000 lookalike) theme. If that is the case, you can use GTK+ 2.10.8 from here to avoid the problem (there is, unfortunately, a bug in 2.10.8 with tab placement other than "on top", so be sure to put your tabs on top with this version): http://home.comcast.net/~daniel_atallah/gtk-runtime-2.10.8-rev-a.exe ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1647164&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
