Have had similar problems on two separate computers. Attached is the dump from the most recent one. I deleted status.xml and gaim doesn't crash anymore! I had upgraded without removing gaim beta5, so maybe there is some incompatibility between the xml file beta5 produced and the one beta6 expects? Problem is fixed, but let me know if I can be of any more help.
