Summary: Gaim accesses hard drive forever, very slow

Initial Comment:
Gaim 2.0.0 beta6, Windows XP SP2

Whenever I open Gaim, it forever is accessing the hard drive, and runs very
slow, along with slowing down the whole computer. I installed the latest GTK as
well. Although the computer runs slow, task manager says that almost none of
the CPU usage is being eaten up.

There is nothing in the log that looks at all abnormal.

Okay, I uninstalled EVERYTHING Gaim related off of my computer, and then
reinstalled, and also installed GTK+ 2.10.7, and the problem still exists.
Debug log attached.
File Added: log.txt

If you run gaim from a cmd shell:
Start->Run->"cmd"
cd "c:\Program Files\Gaim"
"gaim -d > log.txt"

To get the GTK+ version, look at Help->About

Oh, sorry, I don't know what my GTK+ version is, all I know is that it's
the one included in the Gaim 2.0.0beta6 installation. I also couldn't
figure out how to redirect the log's output...

You can redirect the output to a file: `gaim -d > log.txt`

You didn't mention a version for GTK+ (which is what I was referring to).

If you read closely, I DID mention a version number. =P

Okay, I got a debug dialog box up (command prompt), but how would I save
all of this?

What does the debug log say? (`gaim -d`)

Please avoid using phrases like "the latest version" and include specific
version numbers.
