Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: erpo41 (erpo41) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: gaim tries to connect before wireless network is up Initial Comment: My gaim version: 2.0.0beta3.1 Here is what happens: 1. I log into my Gnome session. 2. Gaim launches automatically and begins trying to connect to my IM services. 3. nm-applet, the tool that helps me connect to wireless networks, prompts me for information necessary to connect to the wireless network. 4. I supply the necessary information (which is my keyring password) to nm-applet and the connection to my wireless network is established. 5. Gaim does not automatically connect to various IM networks. Underneath "Available" at the bottom of the gaim window, it says "Connecting" 6. In order to get Gaim to connect to my IM network accounts, I have to switch my status to "Offline" and then back to "Available" Here is what should happen: 1. I log into my Gnome session. 2. Gaim launches automatically. However, Gaim detects that my PC is not connected to the Internet and waits to initiate connections to my IM networks. 3. My PC gets connected to my wireless network. 4. Gaim senses that a network connection has become available, and (in accordance with the default state being set to "Available") tries to connect to my IM networks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1695374&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
