Summary: auto combine duplicate contacts in displayed list

Initial Comment:
This RFE is for an enhancement to the buddy list
display. Currently, if I log into two different
accounts at the same time (say, for instance, my work
and personal AIM accounts), and if I have the same
person in both buddy lists, that person appears in the
displayed buddy list twice. The desired behavior would
be similar to that found in AdiumX, where the
duplicated entries are recognized as duplicates and
displayed only once.

I still believe this is solvable and I'd like
to keep this tracker item open until I have
time to attempt this.

that'd require that each account look for other accounts
that have the same prpl, and compare buddy lists with them.
 or that each account listen to add buddy events from every
other account, and compare in that case.

This is problematic, but the prpl can say when the users are equal.
You might get some false negatives, but false positives can be
avoided.

Duplicate buddies could then be automatically combined into a
contact, with the ordering of buddies in the contact determined by the

ordering of accounts in the account list (or undefined, it probably
doesn't matter).

Right-click->Expand->drag buddies together->hit little close
arrow->done.
Doing this automatically is problematic when names across
protocols look the same but aren't the same person (as one
example).
