Start Gaim 2. Make sure the buddy list is currently in view. 3. Open Windows display properties. (Right-click desktop, select properties) 4. Click the appearance tab. 5. Under the Windows and Buttons drop-down, change from Windows XP style to windows classic style or vice-versa. 6. Apply the changes. At this point, GAIM 2.0.0 beta 3 hangs. Task manager shows Gaim using nearly 100% CPU. Sometimes Gaim will recover after 5-10 mins, other times it will continue to hang, requiring ending the process. Sometimes it will hang when changing other display settings, such as shadows or colors, but the windows and buttons setting seems to make it hang every time. I've been using Gaim 1.5 for some time, and 2.0.0 b2 for a little bit. I never had it hang until beta 3. Just to verfiy, I went back to beta 2, and no more hangs. It is a GTK+ issue.
