Category: None Group: gtk bug #153219 >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Justin Mitchell (justinhomi) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: dual monitor support Initial Comment: When using a dual monitor setup with different resolutions, gaim places windows off of the side of the monitor... causing me to be unable to open/close/move the window. Unfortunately when I do manage to move the window (by changing resolutions), gaim does not remember the location of the window. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Mitchell (justinhomi) Date: 2005-12-18 12:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=299204 Ah, the arrow keys! I was hoping you'd clue me in on a better way to do that. Is there any workaround to get it to remember the window position, or somehow set a different default window position? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-12-18 12:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 You're mistaken. I do this every day. Seriously, choose "Move" and then start moving it with the arrow keys and then it'll be attached to your mouse pointer and you can place it where ever you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Mitchell (justinhomi) Date: 2005-12-18 12:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=299204 Heh, I wish you could! When you chose "Move" from the contextual menu in the taskbar it will only go as high as the top pixel of the monitor. "Move" does not work (AFAIK) unless your mouse is highlighted over the Application toolbar (at the top). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-12-18 12:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 Sure you can, from the entry in the taskbar. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Mitchell (justinhomi) Date: 2005-12-18 12:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=299204 No, you can't move the window by using "Move". That only works when the application toolbar is visible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-12-18 12:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 This is not a Gaim bug, but a bug in GTK+, the widget toolkit used by Gaim. Your bug is being moved to our "gtk bugs" tracker, where it will be grouped with similar bugs. When we know a gtk bug number for this issue, your group number will reflect it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-12-18 12:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 You can move the window by right-clicking on the taskbar entry and chosing "Move". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Mitchell (justinhomi) Date: 2005-12-18 12:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=299204 (2.0b1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=680472&aid=1384473&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
