GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP IN POVERTY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT International Development Program, Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University, USA Applicants will be considered from the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe The Poverty and Development (PD) Fellowship will be awarded to an early to mid-career planner committed to helping her or his society achieve high quality of life for all. The PD Fellow joins other Sustainable International Development (SID) graduate students from over 30 countries for an interdisciplinary study of development and project management emphasizing poverty reduction, gender, human rights, and biodiversity conservation. The Fellow will concentrate on theory and analytic skills in the Year-in- Residence at Brandeis and then spend a second year in a supervised internship or field project. A Fellow receives full tuition and fees for the Year-in-Residence. The Fellowship does not cover airfare or living expenses. Nominations are encouraged from development institutions including international, governmental and NGOs. Self-nominations are accepted. Women are especially encouraged to apply.
