Sorry for the confusion. I just answered that question for someone on an ARM forum and forgot they ship with Debian and not Ubuntu. It may pull in a lot of dependencies from Ubuntu repos that make life difficult in the rest of Debian. But I'd probably still try it; Gambas seems made for an educational device like the Pi.
