Benoît, I obtained the email provided to you by 1)forwarding it to another server, one which enable me to save it ti disc. Putting that file through the mime.decode process make a good pdf. It seems that my problems have arisen after downloading the email and saving it to a mysql db ( as type 'blob') and then decoding it. It was saved to the db using .Message.ToString(). Bill
