Ivan. To answer your multiple questions I've done that in just one email. In short, keep practicing to kill cyborgs, blobs, etc. Sure they come fast at you but if you practice you can get some strategies to get around them or to kill them.
As far as the elevator taking you to the main menu I do not know. If you are in area 2 then you obviously don't have a demo.
