The system I am using for Rail Racer is tied to your hardware ID, so you can reformat your drive, reinstall windows, whatever and your serial will still be good to go. This is not a unique idea here. A great deal of software locks itself to one computer. As a side note, I am setting aside 20 percent of any Rail Racer revenue for my lawyer to prosecute anyone that distributes hacked versions of my game. I have seen cracked copies of blind games on ftp sites for the blind for God's sake. What are these people thinking? We want new and unique games published, and at the same time these bozos are distributing cracks, totally undermining the hard work of developers.
