I would much prefer a realtime game.

REALTIME IS BETTER IN MY OPINION, BUT EITHER GAME WOULD BE FUN.

Hi listers,
As all of you are now aware the original STFC source code is gone so I am
going to have to rewrite the game from scratch or from near scratch no
matter what I do. Over on the audyssey list Nicol was making a suggestion of
making Trek 2000 real time. I'm wondering since I have to rewrite anyway how
would you all feel if I just rewrote STFC as a real time game?
If we stick with the same old turn based game it will be basicly the same
only better than before.
If we go to real time the game could be more like Lonewolf consisting of
missions you would have to cary out against the Romulans, Breen, Klingons,
Borg, Breen, etc...
Since it is in real time you would have to play one ship and stick with it.
However, I can imagine how fun it would to be say the Defiant and cloak and
and attack various targets deep behind enemy lines, or you could be the
Enterprise patroling the Romulan Neutral zone when you are jumped by the
Romulans.
What do you all think?
