Hi Sean, Yeah, the Klingon Federation war began prier to the Dominion War in the epasode Way of the Warrior. Of course, it was later discovered that the founders, leaders of the Dominion, was behind the entire war anyway trying to play with internal politics in the Alpha Quadrant. Once General Martock was rescued and assumed command of the Klingon Empire they formed an alliance with the Federation to stand against the Dominion.
