Hi Shaun, Defiant's phasers are extremely powerful. The other ships phasers will effect heavy damage, but keep in mind the enemies can and will boost power to there shields if they are not destroyed. Here is an example. You fire Enterprise's phasers at a Romulan. Let's say it does 25% to 50% damage. It becomes the Romulans turn. It's main power is up, and it tthrows power in it's shields before attacking. When you scan it appears no damage was done when in reality it was done, but the enemy recharged his shields on his turn.
