well aparently the bevis stuff was done by mtv to promote their music
channel there were various heavy and other tracks playing in
the show it was just a major add.

Peeves I always expected to get some extra plot in hogwoarts. he was
always there, and like lots of other elements like the Grey lady I
was expecting Rowling to give us some details of his past or
history, but she never actually did, which was a little sad since it
would've been fantastic to learn more about him.
