Hi Thomas, That is correct if you pay $1,388 per month for property taxes for the life of the mortgage which is usually thirty years.

I noticed you can buy a house for $400,000, but you have to pay $500,000 for property taxes. Besides being absolutely unrealistic I was wondering why the property taxes costs more than the house?
