While I agree with you in principle do remember not everyone has the
ability or the means to produce braille these days.

For example, I have a braille writer, but it is broken, and has been
broken for quite a long time now. The reason I never sent it in for
repairs is it would cost money I don't really have, and because I use
it so rarely anyway I'm not sure I could justify the expense of having
it fixed or replaced. Either way the end result is the same. No
working braille writer no braille hard copies of keys. :D

That said, there are plenty of other ways to back up keys besides
braille. A person can invest in an inexpensive flash drive, they can
get flash cards for as about as much as a pizza, and if all else fails
they can burn it to a CD ROM or DVD ROM. Point being there is very
inexpensive ways to back up product keys etc besides braille hard
copies.
