Hi.

Yes, fast scrolling is what I believe causes the problem you mentioned previously of text vanishing off the screen before you can read it.

I can't speak for the plugin or nvda navigation of the screen, since with supernova all I do is activate dolphin curser, go to the bottom then hit ctrl up arrow to skip paragraph, which usually gets me back to the last text prompt, which usually gets me back to the last command I entered so I can just read the new text from the game.

This is pretty much the same process I use in any program with a similar layout, If in various formats, eamon deluxe, old dos games etc.

Beware the grue!

dArk.

Subject: [Audyssey] NVDA was Re: My Opinions Regarding Windows Frotz

Hi All,

I just tried Windows Frotz 1.17 (the latest version) with NVDA 2013.2, both with and without the plugin, and it doesn't speak any text automatically. However, I can read what's on the screen using the screen review mode and keys 7 and 9 on the numeric keypad, but I find it awkward as I have to scroll through the text to get to the new output, instead of going to the bottom of the screen and working my way up. I have Fast Scrolling unchecked, and the More Prompts setting checked. There's no Autoscrolling option I can find, unless that's what Fast Scrolling does. For my fonts, they're currently set to Microsoft San Seriff, and Consolas for the Fixed Width font.

Hope this helps.

Yours Sincerely,
