Hi Lorie, If you click the middle of the screen at the top whilst in the game it brings up the menu and if you go to settings you can select either giro or swipe to turn.
Think a few other people have mentioned about the lag you sometimes get when taking footsteps, sometime it seems fine others it seems pretty unresponsive. I think it helps if you leave voice over turned on when you are playing. I'm not sure if the lag is caused by the giro working in the background to detect your movement, you may find switching to swipe to turn (like in the first game) that the footsteps stay responsive more.
