Hi Thomas,
To be honest, I didn't even use real sounds from the UK game show, I simply regenerated them to as close as I felt brave enough to dare. I wanted to convey the show without breaching too much copyright, especially since I was making it commercial. Different theme tune, slightly different wheel, different harp sound etc. I did often think about putting a mod feature into my games when I was developing, I just never got around to doing it, since it would also mean documenting every possible sound effect in the game's repository.
Cheers.
Damien.

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Reviving the Wheel

Hi Shaun,

I agree. X-Wheel is a very good game. Definitely better than the other
Wheel of Fortune game floating around. The only thing I don't like
about X-Wheel is I can not swap out the sounds for the actual sounds
from the US game show.

Cheers!
