I've played star traders elite quite seriously (indeed i had a major game of
it the other day).
The problem at the moment is there is still one screen, the planet navigator
that is missing some pretty major information on the various planets .
At the moment it's quite possible to fly around, do contracts, do all the
fighting, buy upgrades etc, but you can't for example decide you need to get
more reputation with one faction and fly off to their nearest planet to make
peace, or take several contracts on close buy planets sinse there is no way
of telling from the navigator how far or near planets are or in what
direction.
I know though the access fixes aren't quite finished and indeed sinse a new
version was released for android quite recently I'm hoping the new Ios
version will appear any day now with those fixes, indeed I've mailed the
developer to see how things are going.
When things are fixed and it's possible to play a strategic game, I might
well reccord a podcast as I did for s5 about star traders.

As I said, I don't tend to like restoring sinse not only do you have to
play through the hole year again (quite a pain if you've failed a
heroquest in storm season), but also I actually like the story element of
this being a real clan where things can go wrong as well as right. It's
sort of more fun.
indeed even though my clan lost that last game, I still wish I could have
a reccord of their saga (unfortunately my Iphone doesn't like my mail
server so I can't setup E-mail on it). I actually wish there was an in
game reccord of the sagas past games.
