Well, I was able to create a company and start a livestock farm, but I could only hire 1 person to work there and I can't seem to add more. Anyway, to start a company, just go to the company link and click create company. Once that is done, you click on your company name, then there are links to manage different aspects of production, such as a farm or coal mine. Once you click on a manage link, you can create a new business unit, but first you will have to buy a piece of land to put it on, which you can get to via the land map.
