That player does not exist. If you wish to create a new character with
that name answer yes to the question below. Keep in mind that we do not
allow players with names of characters from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
This is to prevent confusion for both us and you. In addition, we
advise you to choose a name fitting for the world of Middle Earth.
It enriches both your experience as a roleplayer, and the experiences
of everyone around you.
Is Avalyn the correct name?:

You are floating in the Void, surrounded by nothing!
A voice calls out to you, saying: I am Eru, the One. Behold Arda!
Your mind is immediately filled with the vision of a lush, green world,
inhabited by noble and peaceful creatures. You then notice a dark blotch
in the eastern part of the world, which begins to spread slowly like a
cancer. As you gaze at the darkness, you are drawn into it. Visions of
evil fill your mind, as dark armies march, and innocents are destroyed.
You notice that the darkness is spreading across Arda at an incredible
rate, consuming all in its path.
Suddenly, the image of a simple gold ring appears. The ring spins on its
axis in space before you. A single eye, its lids rimmed with fire glares
malevolently through the ring, searching for you...
As you tremble with fear, the vision ends.
Eru says: Your time is now. You must come into being.
Type "create" to create your character.

You are presented with two visions.
One is light and free, filled with fair skinned creatures such as
Hobbits, Dwarves, Elves, and Men. They live in a green world with
blue skies, wandering directionless and free.
The other vision is stark contrast. A dark world, with brown skies
occassionally lit by a fiery eruption. Well ordered rows of Orcs,
Trolls, and savage Men combine to form armies under a strict rule.
Discipline and command is evident, as each being fulfills its role.
You must choose one of these paths.
To choose the path of light, type 'freedom'.
To choose the path of darkness, type 'service'.
Please be aware, though, that the path of darkness is more challenging
than the path of light. It is recommended for more experienced players
rather than beginners.

disadvantages, so choose wisely. The races are:

choose edain
choose hobbit
choose sindar
choose silvan
choose dwarf
To learn more about a race, type "help <race>", example: help dwarf
To choose a race, type "choose <race>", example: choose hobbit
Type "back" if you changed your mind about choosing the 'freedom' path.

Help for dunlending (Races Help)
---------------------------------------------------
Dunlendings are a sub-race of Man who founded Dunland in the Second
Age. These wild men have no kingdom or cities to call their own and thus
live a somewhat tribal existence. Although they recently settled their
differences with their Eorling neighbors, the Dunlendings are known,
historically, to be easily spurred to violence against Gondor as well.
Having not been invited to or participating in the Council of Elrond,
the Dunlendings mostly stand alone, being neither particular friends of
Elves or Dwarves, nor allies of other Men. But while they are easily
corruptible, they have not joined Sauron's armies...yet. Like the Edain,
Dunlendings are average in stature and ability, but are less diplomatic
and quick to act in the name of their own interests earning them a more
immoral reputation.
Not much is known about the language of the Dunlendings, but their
rough speech is commonly called Dunael by outsiders. It is rarely heard

Help for eorling (Races Help)
---------------------------------------------------
The Eorlings are fair-haired descendants of the followers of Eorl,
the first King of Rohan. Collectively they make up the nation of the
Rohirrim, people who dwell in a land of rolling hills and plains granted
to Eorl by Cirion of Gondor roughly five hundred years ago. Eorlings
('Eorlingas' in their own tongue) are a noble race, but - unlike the
Dúnedain - their nobility is tied to the land and measured in deeds
of daring in mounted combat. Besides being exceptionally skilled in
horsemanship, they are generally tall, blond, and clear-eyed. While not
as long-lived as Dúnedain, they are a hardy and hale people who can also
be skillful warriors and fair archers.
Although they had no representative at the Council of Elrond, many
Eorlings now ride to face Sauron's armies in Gondor while a few others
remain behind to purge and rebuild their war-torn lands.
The language of Rohan is known as Rohirric. It is rarely used in

This dusty path emerges from the hilly landscape, leading toward
the town of Willowvale. Trees reach upward, casting their shadows
across the dirt underfoot. The town ahead seems a quiet place,
secluded from the dangers of the world. The ranger Aradir is known
to live there.
The only obvious exit is east.
