Hi all,

I had a bit of free time on my hands, so figured I'd make a quick playthrough
of bloodshed.

The link is (with strategies below):

commentary:

This wasn't my best game - the items just weren't being as nice as they
could've been - but it was a good one none the less.

Some of my strategies:

*Use the pistol and shotgun early on. They can deck enemies quickly enough, and
you'll have little use for them once you start racking up points. I personally
prefer the shotgun, but its your call. Avoid using any other weapons if you
can, as you'll want the ammo for them later.

*At one corner of the field, build a wall of mines in front of yourself, and
use them as a protected area from within which to annihilate everything that
comes at you. This is a temporary strategy, but it can really rack up points.
Mines give you more than guns, and they'll keep you safe from enemies who spawn
right on top of you. Use all the guns at your disposal to slaughter enemies
before they reach your fortifications. This strategy works best if you can set
it up once the enemies begin to speed up, but not before they're dangerously
fast. You should have enough time to lay at least a dozen mines (the more the
better) to make your wall, and should stand in the exact corner of the field so
enemies can't spawn on your other side. In the recording, my mines were one
space apart - if you're low, you can place them further apart, but remember
that you want to be able to use your guns before anything even gets to the
mines if possible.

*This was a new one for me, and may be a bug. While reloading, switch guns, and
keep shooting. Then when your new gun runs out of ammo, hit reload, and switch
back to the original. This can help a lot when enemies get faster, but if you
mess up the number row (watch me with the shotgun at the end) you're pretty
much dead meat.

*Use health packs instantly. this isn't so much a strategy as a gameplay point.
Health packs give you 25 health when used. There's absolutely no point to
saving them up, so get your health as high as you can.

I hope this helps a bit with some of the strategy questions we've been seeing.
