Hi jess.

The maths games are fun ones.

My first adviceis to relax. You generally have longer to solve each problem than you think you do, and it's more important to get the answer right than be in rythm, so try and slow down and work them out.

I'd then recommend actually spending a few moments mentally reviewing your times tables, and (for one game later), squared numbers tables. The games go as far as 15 x 15 I believe, so practicing times numbers up until that point will help.

With the addition and subtraction, subtraction is imho easiest since you can get the big number first, however again none of the somes are difficult, it's just a matter of being able to think quickly and not panic.

What I tended to do is when I'd finished a game, I mentally went over the questions I know! I got wrong, and worked them out, which gave me practice. It took a few tries, but I actually really enjoyed the maths questions, I used to love mental maths at school and I found after a while those muscles came back no problem, and it was great that at the start I had about minus ten points on the games, and now I can go to the point where I ace them regularly (I think 38 points is my best thus far).

So, no general tricks or advice, just calm own, think about your maths skills, don't be ashamed to do a little practice in your head before hand, and above all don't panic or get discouraged.

All the best,

Dark.

Hi list. I feel really stupid writing this email. I'm having trouble with the math minigames in crazy party. I have to get past them to beat the world but the problems come really fast. Any tricks?

Jess
