Yes, by pressing the rest button, your stamina and, if you have it, magic will be restored to full. There is also a "save" button, which will make it so that even if you die anyway, you don't have to play the entire adventure again. Hit "Save", "Save Now", and "Please continue" and you'll be set. With all the frames on the sryth screen, it's pretty easy to miss something if you're not looking in just the right place.
